About

A one-person studio, by design.

softies.dev is the software consultancy of Maxime Verreault, based in Québec, Canada. I build AUTOSAR and embedded software for automotive companies — Stellantis and BRP among them — and full-stack web applications with the same standard of care. When you work with softies.dev, the person you talk to is the person who writes the code.

How I work

Direct by default

There is no account manager, no relay of project coordinators — you describe the problem to the person who will solve it, and status updates come from the keyboard where the work happens.

Production standards, whatever the size of the job. Code arrives reviewed, tested, and integrated into your pipeline — the same discipline whether it's a BSW module bound for an ECU or the web dashboard your team uses every day. I work inside your process: your repositories, your reviews, your definition of done.

Honest scope. If a feature is a bad idea, I'll say so before you pay for it. If a problem sits outside my expertise, I'll tell you that too. A small studio only survives on trust, which suits me — it's the part of this job I like most.
